Note to Patrons

First, FYI for non-patrons, the subject of the latest Patron Post and of the last couple has been hyperinflation and the big difference now in how the Fed is creating money, which is much more critical in terms of hyperinflation than just how much it is creating. The article I just posted also touches on Modern Monetary Theory, which is the Fed’s new path.

Patron Posts are my thank-you back to anyone who supports this site at a rate of $5 a month or more. I appreciate, though, too, those who just put a dollar in the tip jar each month to express their encouragement and thanks.

(A new development is that some governments have recently started taxing privileged content. Nothing I can do about that, so sales tax for your government, if it requires that, is now added to the $5. Sorry about that. Wish I could do something about it, but it is automatically carried out by Patreon to keep the governments of this world happy with them. No part of any contribution above the $5 should be taxed, however, as I’ve pointed out to Patreon that extra you give above that does not result in any additional privileged content. Anything you do above the $5 pledge amount is purely your additional effort to really support this site, though I’ve tried to think of a few other ways to say thank-you in the tiers I’ve laid out.)

Are any patrons having trouble accessing Patron Posts?

A few patrons have said they have trouble accessing Patron Posts, but they never tell me until after the quit as patrons, so I don’t know what the issue is. I’m not sure why they would have a problem with the gated access. If you set up Patreon’s settings to email posts to you, you will even receive them automatically in email as soon as I post them, so you don’t even have to go to Patreon to read them.

Otherwise, you should also be able to log onto Patreon and read them automatically there under “Posts” as soon as you see I’ve posted a new Patron Post here. If you have a problem accessing this privileged content, please let me know in the comments below what the problem is, and I’ll resolve it. In the meantime, I can send you the password used for the latest Patron Post, which shows up as “Protected” on this website. (But that password changes with each post.)

I’ll have a second one coming soon this month to follow up more on the where central bankers are taking money. And then we’ll probably change to a new topic unless some particularly big moves happen on the digital currency front or in central bank actions.

If you’re a Patron at the $25 level, please let me know what economic topic you would like to see me cover, as no one has taken me up on that form of gratitude from me yet. You should have gotten my email address as soon as your first pledge posted, or you can leave a comment here. (Anyone at or above the $10 level should have gotten my email address when their first pledge processed.)

I want to make sure everything is working for Patrons the way it is supposed to.
