Bailout BONUS Bonanza Going Bonkers … Again!

The banks that are begging for bailouts still cling to their bonuses. To terrorize us into letting them keep their bonuses, the banksters are threatening to release the button on their suicide vests and blow themselves up by not taking the bailouts if they can’t have their bonuses.

The Bailout Bonanza is Back! (Pt 2: Hedge Hogs Demand More!)

The emphasis has to be on HOG as they squeal for corporate welfare and push their snouts into the trough. One hedge hog says the government needs to bail out all businesses by paying all wages so companies that depleted all cash don’t have to pay to retain all workers:

Short Take on the Long Line to Recession

As stocks took a morning breather while I enjoyed my coffee and wrote down the first recession stats since the Coronacrisis, I came across a heart-ripping prediction from Goldman Sachs for this week once the data is in. It’s been a long line of facts to this recession, but the last step is a doozy!

The Bailout Bonanza is Back! (Pt 1: The Commercial Paper Crisis)

I’ll lead off with a brazen display of SHAMELESS bankster greed. Banks absolutely MUST HAVE all bailouts go to them. When the government said it would send $1,000 checks to every tax payer as a personal bailout, one banker implored the government to give it to the banks instead.

Why are Bonds Going for Broke?

One argument for last week’s extraordinary plunge in bond prices, which I explored as something that might happen this time of year in one of my earlier Premium Posts, was that bond prices could get crushed by the supersized US treasury auctions planned for September and October as the government makes up for its inability […]

Socialist Revolution: The Price Capitalism Pays When Greed Goes Unrestrained

Socialism is the price Capitalism pays for unrestrained and unpunished greed, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the new face of Socialism in America. AOC refers to her Socialist revolution — for now wrapped up in the Green New Deal before congress — as the “politics of optimism,” and so it is. That’s because Socialism is the […]

The Inevitability of Economic Collapse

While I haven’t had the privilege of divine revelation, I do try to look at the forces that are in play that have the power to move nations economically. Two dominant countervailing forces right now are those who have George Soros nearly in tears — who make up the anti-global revolution — and then all the globalists like Soros […]

Euronomics Decomposing, Raise a Glass of Cheer!

Europeans must have been delighted to discover that one thing is working as well as it has since the start of the Great Recession. Behemoth banks that are failing are still able to pay their Christmas bonuses to their top executives and give nice dividends to their shareholders thanks to Super Mario Draghi.

Brexit-Beleaguered Bankers Back to Begging for Bailouts!

Nothing is more shameless in a bedazzling sort of way than rich banksters standing on the public curb with their hands out. First, we had the admission this past week by a major French bank that Italian banks are so sick (and so too big to fail) they could cause systemic banking failure throughout Europe if not bailed out […]

A Review of “The Big Short”, The Movie

[The following review is by Jim Quinn of The Burning Platform. I came across it after writing an article about American greed. I thought it makes an excellent companion piece to that article because the themes depicted in the movie and described here are the themes I was writing about.]   The Big Short opens nationwide […]

Has there ever been a more selfish generation?

It’s a good question to ask on the day after Christmas, when we have all used our credit cards to buy gifts for others. In spite of this seasonal gift buying, I think there has never been a more selfish generation. (Regular readers of this blog are excepted because you wouldn’t be reading this contrarian blog if you were […]

Singing the Banker Bailout Blues – Where is your rage, America?

This article is meant to be a kick in the ribs to a sleeping America. So, I hope you don’t like it. I hope it annoys you and jars you awake. Six years of economic struggle, and America has learned nothing from the Great Recession. Congress just passed a bill that assures cash-bloated banksters that the […]
